On the day of the battle, a baffling bombardment lasting a week shook the hardy defenses of the Warriors of Steel, as they were known as from this day. Morallis was busy sacrificing many of the human population to gain help from Tzeench or any other of the Gods who would help in this desprerate cause. As in the Iron Warrior way, Zarkisz and Morallis made many ajustments to the fortress to suit their tastes. This battle was in M39 on the planet of Gravia V, an abandoned fortress world in the Eye of Terror. As if by fate, bother and brother joined forces against a force twice their size. The two had never seen each other since the Herasy, but Zarkisz' brother had been an outcast of the Iron Warriors since he went to join the Thousand Sons Legion. Zarkisz met his brother Morallis on a Daemon World in the Eye of Terror, catching him offguard rumaging through a forbidden Daemon library. Perburto, furious at this trechary (can't spell it :D) of one of his favoured sent a fleet of Iron Warriors after Zarkisz and his traitors.Īs they were followed, Zarkisz had to gather his forces fast, but as he searched arounf the Eye of Terror, no one would help him in his plight. When he left, the most loyal of his warriors joined him in his escape and they left the Iron Warriors.
